Planet Zoo 2 unlocks digitally at 3pm BST on Tuesday 13 October 2026 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Use the local times below to plan when you can start. This is the pre-launch schedule checked on 12 October; release and pre-load timings may change before launch.

Find your local unlock time

Set your reminder for the same worldwide moment: 2pm UTC on 13 October. In the UK, that means the afternoon rather than midnight. If you are in Sydney, put Wednesday 14 October in your calendar. The local date changes because Australia reaches the unlock moment after midnight.

Read the time-zone abbreviation as well as the city. London's October time is BST, while Sydney uses AEDT. Use the row for your own region instead of copying a friend's clock time from another country. On PS5, the UK Deluxe Edition listing gives the matching timestamp of 2pm UTC on 13 October.

Plan your Steam pre-load

If you have pre-purchased on Steam, plan your download around the announced pre-load target of 3pm BST on Monday 12 October. That is 24 hours before the digital unlock. Keep the two dates separate: the earlier window is for downloading the game, while the Tuesday schedule is when you can begin playing.

Use that Monday target for your Steam purchase. For a PS5 pre-order using auto-download, enable Automatic Login and Auto Sign-In on your console. Check the download offered by your own platform before planning your connection time; the Steam pre-load announcement applies specifically to Steam.

Check a console disc order's date

If you ordered the physical PS5 or Xbox Series X edition, plan around 20 October 2026. The digital launch on 13 October and the console disc release are a week apart. Check the edition on your retailer's order confirmation before using the digital countdown to plan your first session.
