To play Star Wars: Galactic Racer offline on PC, launch the game while connected to the internet first. Secret Mode's official FAQ requires that initial connection for authentication. After that, the solo campaign, Arcade events and Scenarios support offline play. This guide applies to the 6 October 2026 release, with the FAQ checked on 8 October.

Complete the first launch before going offline

Do this while you still have a connection, rather than waiting until a journey or outage to open the game for the first time. The PC release is available through Steam and the Epic Games Store; the publisher states the first-launch requirement for PC generally. The Steam-specific preparation below concerns the launcher as well as the game.

The FAQ does not specify an authentication expiry interval or promise permanent offline access after one launch. Treat it as the documented initial prerequisite. TechRadar's review, conducted on PS5, independently confirms the 6 October release and the presence of a single-player campaign. It does not test PC offline authentication, so the publisher's instructions are the authority for that requirement.

Prepare Steam's Offline Mode

If you own the Steam version, Valve's Offline Mode instructions add a short launcher checklist. Start Steam online with Remember me checked at login, finish updating the game, and launch it to confirm there are no remaining installation or update requirements. Once it is playable, close the game and return to Steam.

Open Steam > Settings > Security and ensure Don't save account credentials on this computer is not selected. In the main Steam window, choose Steam > Go Offline... . Valve says a Steam login requirement cannot be bypassed without going online. This checklist is for Steam on PC; it is not an Epic launcher menu route.

Choose an offline-supported activity

Use the solo campaign, Arcade events or Scenarios for offline play. Multiplayer, connected Arcade leaderboards, and downloading patches or updates need a connection. The Arcade leaderboard shows your best time to friends rather than providing a public ranking. An unavailable connected leaderboard therefore does not mean that Arcade itself is excluded from offline play.

Our practical check is to distinguish the stage that failed: the launcher asking you to sign in, the game failing its first launch, or an online feature being unavailable. Those observations describe different problems. If the game still fails after the documented preparation, the official FAQ links to Customer Support's bug-report form. Include your PC storefront and whether an online first launch succeeded; the FAQ supplies no offline-specific repair beyond its authentication prerequisite.
