Game Pass new gamesfor October 2026

You can play Battlefield 6 and Valor Mortis through Game Pass from 13 October 2026. October's additions run from 2 to 16 October, across PC, compatible Xbox consoles and cloud.

This page covers the 7 October announcement and the early October arrivals announced on 15 September. Use the table to match your game to its date and device, then choose the installation route below. Your membership gives you access while the game remains in the library and your subscription stays active.

October 2026 games and dates

Every row includes Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass; use PC Game Pass for the PC version. "Also Premium" marks the additional tier. "In library" means you can play while the title is included and your subscription is active. Dates are calendar dates; check your game's current store listing for its unlock time. For a "Console" listing, check the product's supported hardware before downloading.

You can also play Shape of Dreams now with Ultimate, Premium or PC Game Pass.

Install on your Xbox console

Open the game's listing through Xbox Game Pass or the Microsoft Store on your console and choose the download option included with your membership. Keep your console connected to the Xbox network and check that it has enough free storage. For a game optimised for Xbox Series X|S, use internal storage or a Storage Expansion Card to play the installed version.

Select Check install progress to open Manage Queue. You can pause or cancel a download there. To move a queued game ahead of another, highlight it, press the controller's Menu button and select Install now. This is useful when you have several October games waiting: put the one you intend to play first at the front and let the others follow.

Install on PC or stream a game

Download the Xbox PC app and browse its Game Pass library for the PC version you want. Install it and launch it directly from the app. The app requires Windows 10 or 11, version 22H2 or higher; check each game's own requirements before starting a large download. Use the platform column to choose the version that suits your device.

For cloud play, open xbox.com/play on a supported device, or use the Xbox app's Cloud Gaming tab. Check that your chosen game is included in your plan's cloud library, and check the monthly cloud playtime allowance for that plan. Streaming lets you start without installing the console game locally. Choose a local PC installation when you want to play through your PC Game Pass entitlement.

Set up EA Play on PC

For EA Play on Windows, install the EA app as well as the Xbox app. Sign in to the Xbox app with the account you use for Game Pass, then launch an EA Play game through it to connect the route into the EA app. Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass include EA Play for PC. Follow the account-linking prompts with the EA Account you intend to use.

Leaving Game Pass on 15 October

Finish your current playthrough or check the purchase option before these departures. You keep subscription access only while the game is in the library and your membership is active; installing it ahead of its exit does not turn that access into ownership.

• A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Crime Scene Cleaner.
• Donut County, Evil West and Nova Roma (Game Preview).
• Pacific Drive, Superball and The Casting of Frank Stone.

Nova Roma leaves on PC; the other eight leave cloud, console and PC. Use the Store tab in the Xbox PC app to check a purchase, and review the price and edition before paying. Your Game Pass membership offers discounts on games in the library.
