PS Plus Essential gamesfor October 2026

You can claim F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 with PS Plus from 6 October to 2 November 2026. F1 25 and Hunt are on PS5; World Brothers 2 is on PS5 and PS4. Add your games during that window and play them while your membership is active. This October edition reflects the announcement of 30 September 2026.

Check your region's PlayStation Store for the local line-up. You can take Hunt's bounty hunts on alone or with up to two teammates. World Brothers 2 gives you four-player online co-op and two-player local split-screen on either listed console. Choose the game and console version you want before starting your download.

Claim October's games with Essential or above

You need an active PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra or Premium subscription. Monthly Games are included in all three plans, so Essential gives you access to this selection. Your games remain available to play for as long as you are a member. Use the account with your membership when you open PlayStation Plus and claim each game during its monthly availability window.

Your plan also determines which other benefits you can use. Extra includes the Game Catalogue alongside Monthly Games. Premium adds the Classics Catalogue, game trials and cloud streaming benefits. For these October monthly titles, go straight to Monthly Games: that is the selection shared by all three plans. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel, and content availability depends on your age and territory.

On PS5, open Benefits and Monthly Games

From the Games home screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus. Open the Benefits tab, then select Monthly Games. Highlight the title you want and choose Download. Follow the same route for the other October titles you want to play. On PS5 you can choose from all three games in this month's selection, subject to your local store's availability.

On PS4, add World Brothers 2 to your library

From the function screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus. Scroll down to Monthly Games, highlight Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, then select Add to Library followed by Download. This is October's PS4 option. Use the PS4 version for your PS4 console; the other two games in the table are listed for PS5.

Find your games and download them again

On PS5, go to Games home, open Game Library and select Your Collection. Choose your game and select Download. On PS4, open Library, select Purchased, choose the game and select Download. Use these library routes when you want to install a game you have already added, including a monthly title claimed during an earlier window. The game installs automatically after downloading.

You can also start a download through PlayStation App. Select the Game Library icon at the bottom, open Purchased at the top, choose your game and select Download to Console. Link your console to the app first. For a remote download through a browser, sign in, select your avatar, then Game Library and Purchased. Select the game and Download; on mobile, use the download icon.

For browser downloads, your PS5 needs to be logged in with your account, or your PS4 needs to be activated as your primary PS4. Set up automatic downloads for remote installation while you are away. Without that setup, the download starts when you next turn on the console. If a claimed game is missing, check your account's transaction history before trying to obtain it again.

September's selection was Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life and Chained Echoes. The claim window ended on 5 October 2026. If you added them before that deadline, find them through your library and keep playing with an active PS Plus membership.
