To get Tournament Credits in Rocket League, enter a scheduled Competitive Tournament and win at least one match. Keep advancing for more credits, then spend them on reward Cups through Play, Tournaments, Rewards. Your Top Three Weekly Placements add bonuses alongside the credits earned from progressing through a bracket.

This guide covers Season 24 through v2.77, released on 6 October 2026, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. It also applies to the compatible Switch version on Switch 2. Use the Tournament Credit balance when choosing Cups: this currency is earned through tournaments and cannot be purchased.

For the separate Weekly Cash Cups route, use rpt.gg/cashcups and check the listed event rules before registering. Those Repeat.gg events offer Tournament Credits through Ranked matches. The steps below follow the scheduled brackets inside Rocket League, with their own weekly placement bonuses and in-game Rewards menu.

Enter a scheduled tournament

From the Main Menu, select Play, then Tournaments and your Play Window. Choose an available scheduled tournament for your region. You can register alone, with an incomplete team or with a full team, so you can start without finding a complete squad beforehand. Entry is free, and you can enter further scheduled tournaments during the week.

Check the displayed start time before joining and leave enough time to finish your run. The bracket contains 32 teams, with one match per round until the best-of-three Semifinals and Finals. If you lose in the First Round or arrive after the original start, look for the Second Chance bracket to try again.

Win a round and protect your earnings

Win at least one match to earn Tournament Credits, then continue through the bracket for a larger reward. Higher Tournament Ranks pay more, and everyone on your team receives the same Tournament Credit reward. Focus on progressing together; topping your team's scoreboard does not give you a larger share of the payout.

Stay until you see the final tournament results, including after elimination. Leaving earlier counts as quitting and forfeits that tournament's rewards. It also brings a 15-minute matchmaking ban and a ban from the next Competitive Tournament, with longer penalties for repeated departures. Finish the results sequence before returning to the menu to choose another event.

Improve your weekly placements

Use Top Three Weekly Placements for bonus credits. Your first three tournaments count towards those slots whether you win or lose, but rewards require at least one match win. After those first three tournaments, a better placement can earn an additional weekly bonus. The counter resets on Sunday, giving you a fresh weekly set to improve.

Keep the weekly bonus separate from ordinary tournament earnings. Filling all three slots does not stop you earning credits from further successful bracket runs; improving a previous weekly placement is the condition for another placement bonus. Check both your result and weekly placements when comparing payouts, rather than expecting every tournament to award the same total.

Spend credits on an eligible Cup

Return to Play, select the Tournaments tile and open Rewards at the top. Choose a Cup whose unlock requirement you have met and whose cost your Tournament Credit balance covers. Each Cup grants a customisation item. Use these current costs and requirements when planning a purchase, rather than the figures in an old interface screenshot.

Look for the awarded cosmetic after redeeming your Cup. Tournament items can be Painted, Certified or both. If you later want to exchange unwanted items, follow the separate Trade In eligibility checks before selecting copies to consume. Tournament Credits and Tournament items cannot be traded between players.

Check converted rewards after a season reset

Spend before the season ends if you want to choose your Cups yourself. Unspent Tournament Credits reset and convert into the highest eligible reward based on your Tournament Rank and remaining balance. Players who participated in Competitive Tournaments also receive an All-Star Cup reward; the items arrive at the start of the next season.

Log into Rocket League at least once during the season to receive those reward items. After the season changes, check for the converted cosmetics rather than expecting the old credit balance to carry forward. Begin earning the new season's Tournament Credits through its scheduled tournaments.
