FM27 system requirements for Windows and Mac

Football Manager 27 needs at least 6 GB of RAM and 20 GB of free storage on Windows and Mac. Aim for 12 GB of RAM to meet the recommended specification. These are the desktop game's published requirements for the 10 November 2026 launch. The requirements and Steam Deck rating may change at release.

Match your Windows PC to the right hardware tier

Start with your version of Windows. The minimum supports updated Windows 10 or Windows 11. The recommended specification calls for updated Windows 11. Both tiers require DirectX 11 and 20 GB of free storage. Check the drive you plan to install the game on for free space. Then compare your processor and graphics against the row for a desktop or laptop, depending on which you use.

Open Settings, then System, then About. Under Device specifications, note the processor and installed RAM. Under Windows specifications, check which Windows version you have. To check space on the installation drive, open System, then Storage. If you have several drives, open Advanced storage settings and select Storage used on other drives to see the figures for each one.

Use the full model name when checking a laptop. The GTX 960M is the listed laptop minimum, while the GTX 960 is a desktop reference. The laptop graphics requirements also list 1 GB of video memory at minimum and 2 GB for the recommended tier. Check system RAM and graphics memory separately. Having 12 GB of system RAM satisfies the recommended memory line, while your graphics still need to meet their own requirement.

Check your Mac's chip, graphics and macOS version

Open the Apple menu and choose System Settings, then General, then About. Look for Chip on Apple silicon or Processor on an Intel Mac. The same page gives you your installed memory and macOS version, and shows the graphics chip on Intel models. Use Storage in General settings to check how much space is available on your Mac.

For an Apple silicon Mac, use the M1 as the reference for both the processor and graphics. Check your installed memory next. An M1 Mac with 8 GB clears the 6 GB memory minimum and sits below the 12 GB recommendation. The minimum OS list includes updated macOS 13, 14, 15 and 26. The recommended list starts at macOS 14 and also includes 15 and 26.

For an Intel Mac, compare your processor with the Intel Core M minimum and check the graphics model separately. The minimum graphics list includes the GeForce GT 750M and Intel HD Graphics 5000 for both desktops and laptops. It also includes the AMD FirePro D300 for desktops. Set aside the same 20 GB of free storage as on Windows. The recommended Mac specification uses the Apple M1 for both processor and graphics.

Read the Steam Deck rating separately

Use the Steam Deck compatibility rating if you plan to play on Valve's handheld. FM27 is rated Playable. On a Windows handheld, use the Windows requirements to compare your processor, graphics and available storage.
