FM27 Launch Preview saves carry over

Your Football Manager 27 Launch Preview save carries over to the full PC and Mac game. Update FM27, then select Load Game on the start screen and open your existing career. This applies to saves from both the free and paid phases of the preview and covers the full release scheduled for 10 November 2026. The start-screen layout may change at release.

Load your existing career

Open the full PC or Mac game after the release update has installed. Select Load Game and choose the save you last played in the preview. This is the same career, so the club, tactics and results you saved carry forward with it. If you kept several copies, choose the file for the point in the season you want to resume.

Use the FM27 save even if you originally brought that career over from FM24 or FM26. The older file is the starting point you imported. Your FM27 save holds the matches and decisions you made during the preview. Once it opens, check your club and the in-game date to make sure you picked the right copy.

Find the save file if it is missing

On Windows, open Documents, then Sports Interactive, Football Manager 27 and games. That is the default folder for local saves. Look for the file with the career name you used in the preview.

On Mac, open Finder and choose Go from the menu bar. Hold Option to show Library, then open Library, Application Support, Sports Interactive, Football Manager 27 and games. Use the folder for your Mac user account.

Keep any copies you find while you check which save the game is loading. If you still cannot open your career, send SEGA Support the platform you played on, the save location you checked and what happened when you selected Load Game.
