The PS5 plan has been repeated
Forza originally put the PS5 version in a later-2026 window when it announced the game for Xbox Series X|S and PC. Those versions arrived on 19 May, leaving Sony's console as the post-launch release. The new wording matters because it comes from the developer's current British Automotive update rather than an old reveal page. It confirms that the earlier PS5 plan is still the published one in September. It does not turn the broad window into a date, or say how close the console version is to release.
The PlayStation Store gives the practical next step: the game can be wishlisted, and the listing says users will be notified when it becomes available. Its status is still Announced, with no date attached. Microsoft has not published PS5 pricing, an edition list, a pre-order date or regional launch times in the material checked for this report. A wishlist is therefore useful for a player who wants a platform notification, but it is not a substitute for a release announcement or a purchase option.
The latest update is for existing players
The statement appears at the end of the British Automotive update, whose immediate changes are for the versions already on Xbox Series X|S, PC and Steam. That update added Drift Attack, a permanent single-lap drifting activity at the Shimanoyama Circuit, alongside new cars and Festival Playlist content. None of those update notes confirms that the same patch will be part of the PS5 launch build. They do show that the game is continuing to receive live content while the PlayStation version remains in its separate release window.
For PS5 owners, the confirmed position is narrow but clear: the version is still due later this year. The absent details are equally important. There is no announced release day, price, pre-order route or published PS5-specific feature list to compare with the versions already available elsewhere.
