Choose the Deluxe Edition of Valor Mortis if you want the base game, weapon skin packs and the Major Story DLC planned for 2027. Choose Standard if you want the main game alone. The extra story is a later release, so treat Deluxe as a purchase of current and future content.

This comparison covers the announced 13 October 2026 launch on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, checked on 11 October. Before buying, recheck your platform's edition listing: pre-release contents and delivery dates may change.

Match the edition to your purchase

Use the edition name and included-content list together. The announced prices below are US dollar and euro prices, rather than conversions into pounds. For a UK purchase, use the price shown by your storefront at checkout.

EditionAnnounced priceIncluded content
Standard$39.99 / €39.99Base game
Deluxe$59.99 / €59.99Base game, weapon skin packs and Major Story DLC

The Deluxe artwork names the La Grande Armee Weapon Skin Pack and shows skins for the pistol, blunderbuss, musket, claymore, rapier and sabre. It also lists three upcoming weapon skin packs. Read those as cosmetic contents when weighing the extra cost; choose the edition for the appearances and future story you want.

Allow for the later story release

Keep the main campaign and Major Story DLC separate in your plans. The expansion is scheduled for 2027 and will tell a side story exploring the game's world and characters. If you buy Deluxe at launch, expect to wait for that expansion rather than looking for its campaign entrance on 13 October.

You can choose Standard for the main campaign without buying the future expansion now. If your reason for choosing Deluxe is that extra story, make the decision with its later delivery in mind.

Keep New Game+ outside the edition decision

New Game+ is a planned free update for later in 2026. It will let you carry progression and loot from a completed campaign into a harder second attempt. Choose your paid edition for its listed contents; you can keep Standard if New Game+ is the future feature you want.
