Unlock ETS2 Driving Academy rewardswith the right completion checklist

To unlock Driving Academy rewards in Euro Truck Simulator 2, complete the required scenarios on the in-game profile where you want to use the items. Finishing Truck Driving Basics earns the blue cone and truck paint job; the matching trailer paint and golden cone require three stars in every Truck Driving Proficiency scenario. A Steam achievement alone does not prove that you have met the cosmetic reward requirement.

This PC guide covers the reward rules introduced through update 1.58, released on 12 February 2026, and checked against the current 1.61 release of 17 September. The later release notes announce no replacement reward system. Start by identifying the exact item you want, because the three Academy modules have different completion requirements.

Choose the module for your reward

Use this checklist before repeating an exam. Completing one module does not unlock everything from the other two, and completing a scenario is different from earning all its optional stars. SCS's official 1.55 release notes establish the first two reward groups; its released 1.58 notes confirm Frankie and the updated achievement threshold.

For the blue cone and truck livery, check that the whole Basics module is complete. For the orange cone, move to Proficiency and complete its full scenario list. If you already have the truck paint but the trailer paint remains locked, the next relevant check is Proficiency's stars, rather than another run through Basics.

Check stars separately from achievements

Proficiency awards up to three stars per scenario for additional conditions. SCS gives examples including using only the interior camera, limiting changes between forward and reverse, and finishing within the allotted time. Read the conditions for the scenario you are attempting: a successful drive along the designated path without collisions may still leave an optional condition unfinished.

Compare every Proficiency scenario's recorded stars with the three-star requirement. Prioritise the scenarios with missing stars instead of repeating ones already complete. This module deliberately has no pre-recorded video tutorials, according to SCS; the challenge is to apply what Basics taught you while meeting the additional conditions shown for that attempt.

Since 1.58, Nerd of the Road needs three stars in only 15 Proficiency scenarios, reduced from 23. The golden cone still requires all scenarios with three stars each. If the achievement appears but the cone or trailer livery remains locked, check the unfinished scenarios before treating the result as a delivery fault.

Finish doubles for Frankie

Frankie comes from Double Trailer Handling, the third module. Its three chapters progress from forward manoeuvres through reversing to more demanding practical scenarios. ETS2 uses the Euro Combi combination; American Truck Simulator uses different tailored challenges with a B-Double, so an ATS walkthrough is not an exact ETS2 route.

The Double Trouble achievement requires twelve successfully completed scenarios, while SCS specifies all scenarios for Frankie. Traxion's announcement report combines the toy and achievement with a twelve-challenge description; use the official completion requirement when checking a missing toy. Keep working through the module's remaining scenarios rather than stopping when that achievement unlocks.

Check the receiving profile

SCS explicitly ties the rewards to the in-game profile used for completion. Check the profile where you did the Academy work before looking for the items in the base game. Completing the requirements on another profile under the same Steam account does not establish an unlock on the profile you are using now.

Confirm success against the exact reward and its requirement: the right module must be complete, Proficiency's full three-star set is needed for its top cosmetics, and the receiving profile must match. If those checks all pass but an item remains locked, keep a record of the profile, module and missing reward for a bug report. These documented unlock rules do not establish a repair for corrupted progress.
