A blacksmith can put a Sharpening Wheel beside a campfire in World of Warcraft: Forever, giving nearby adventurers an Attack Power buff. A tailor can bring a banner that boosts Spirit; an herbalist can supply an Intellect-boosting candle. Blizzard's reimagining of original Azeroth gives professions a useful presence beside the road. A place to repair gear and refresh buffs is a persuasive reason to stop on the way to somewhere else.
Forever is a separate, continuing version of WoW alongside modern and Classic, scheduled for PC on 4 November. You return to the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, with a level cap of 60, no flying mounts and no level scaling. Blizzard has announced more than a thousand new quests across that journey. Riverglades alone adds over 150 quests around the mid-30s to mid-40s, filling a frontier with communities and trade routes.
Bring something to the campfire
A Basic Campfire holds up to three crafted objects, with each nearby player contributing one. Each player's object placement has a one-hour cooldown. You sit for a few moments to become rested and receive the campsite's one-hour buffs. Those effects don't stack with the corresponding class buffs. Camps can also provide vendors, repairs and profession workspaces, while upgraded fires made by cooks accommodate five or ten objects. The attraction is a stop other players can help furnish.
Finding those players won't begin with choosing a named realm. Forever asks you to choose a ruleset: Normal, PvP or Roleplaying at launch, with Hardcore following later. Blizzard calls this structure realmless, but there are boundaries. You can't group across rulesets, and Horde and Alliance remain separate. Friends planning to explore together still need to agree on those choices. A larger connected population doesn't remove the faction decision.
Your next character can inherit the points
The Legacy System gives repeated journeys a practical reward. Completing a challenge earns an account-wide point: reaching level 25 on a class or 150 skill in a non-gathering primary profession are early examples. Each character then spends that shared pool independently across Professions, Adventure and Resourcefulness. One character's choices don't consume another's allocation. At launch, the spending cap is 16 points per character, against 65 challenges available to complete.

Well Rested expands the rested XP cap and speeds its accumulation. Frequent Flier cuts flight costs and increases flight speed; Field Guide reduces the cooldown on placing camping features. These are recognisable comforts for somebody taking another character through Azeroth. Blizzard explicitly says alts aren't required: a single character can earn enough points to unlock all character advantages. Further challenges feed a cosmetic reward track, including a Spectral Bear Cub, rather than letting you exceed that initial perk budget.
Familiar dungeons, unfamiliar loot
The beta supplies a smaller, stranger reason to revisit familiar territory. PC Gamer's Tyler Colp reported an axe from the Deadmines that allows mining without the Mining skill, with 30 uses. His report also describes Shadowfang Keep's Coldflame Saber, whose melee attacks deal fire damage to frozen targets. An item with that effect gives a mage a reason to inspect a sword beyond its stats. These are reported beta discoveries, not guarantees about every launch drop or a finished assessment of class balance.
Launch access is included with an existing WoW subscription or Game Time. The Skyborne race and its Zephras Isle starting experience require the Heroic upgrade pack or higher; paying for those additions is separate from accessing Forever itself. New raids are scheduled to unlock on 9 December. For players drawn to levelling, professions and another route across the old continents, there's already a substantial invitation before those raids arrive. You can contribute a useful object to a camp, then take the points you've earned into another character's journey.
